Overview

(01)

A booking-first website with live slots, a weather-aware banner and a summer campaign that sold out the season's weekends.

The brief

Tidewell rents kayaks and runs guided evening paddles from a small quay. Bookings came in by phone, message and a paper diary. The owners wanted one place for people to see free slots, pick a time and pay a deposit.

What we built

The home page shows the next five free slots the moment it loads. Below it, three routes with a map, a difficulty note and a photo taken on the day. Booking takes four taps on a phone. A quiet banner appears when wind is forecast so nobody arrives to a cancelled trip.

The summer push

We paired the launch with a four-week campaign: a short email to past customers, a shared-photo wall on the site and a small local ad run. Weekend slots filled six weeks ahead for the first time.

The phone stopped ringing with the same six questions. The site answers them before anyone has to ask.
