Overview

(01)

A quiet portfolio site with large photographs, plain project facts and an enquiry form that filters for budget and timing.

The brief

Oakhouse designs timber homes and extensions. Their old site was a slideshow of thumbnails. Enquiries were often outside their budget or area.

What we built

Each project gets one large image, then its facts: location, floor area, budget band and build time. The enquiry form asks for location and budget range before it asks for a message. The site loads fast, uses very little animation and reads well on a phone in a builders' merchant.

Result

Unsuitable enquiries dropped by almost half, and the ones that arrive already know what a project costs.

In their words

(03)

The site does what a good first meeting does. It shows the work and asks two honest questions.
